Job Summary

The QA/QC Manager is a member of the supervision team. He reviews contractors’ QA/QC plans at the onset of supervision projects and ensures the implementation of QA / QC procedures throughout supervision projects duration. He conducts periodic quality inspections on contractors and subcontractors and works closely with Project Managers and contractors on addressing identified quality issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Has experience in the infrastructure industries, and has commercial and quality assurance/control management experience on mega projects.
  • Coordinates with other functional Managers to ensure correct implementation of project guidelines, contracts, and other related procedures.
  • Coordinate and perform quality audits for the implementation of work process and contract procedures.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of commercial and quality assurance/control methods, practices, international codes and standards, and procedures.
  • Works on the implementation of quality certification action plans and the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Conducts periodic quality audits and follows up on the rectification of quality non-conformance issues in a timely manner.
  • Undertakes quality assurance activities on design deliverables developed.
  • Leads the provision of quality training and awareness sessions to stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Provide input to the MOF Quality Department and the Quality on quality training courses and materials
  • Conduct quality training sessions for stakeholders, as needed
  • Conduct quality awareness sessions in the organisation
  • Guide the implementation of the MOF Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Undertake quality assurance activities on design deliverable developed
  • Provide input to the MOF Quality Department for the development of the annual quality audit program.
  • Guide the implementation of the quality audit programs in the organisation, including the distribution of audit requirements lists, circulation of audit schedules to relevant stakeholders and the execution of quality audits on departments and functions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Civil Or Mechanical.

Overall Experience

20 + years of experience in a QA/QC function

10+ years of experience in a QA/QC function in a contracting company or a construction supervision function
