Job Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveying (Egypt - Mohandessin) is responsible for all quantity surveying activities within the Egypt - Mohandessin design center. The jobholder is responsible to manage delivery, enforce policies and procedures, ensure quality, and manage activities and utilization within the Quantity Surveying (Egypt - Mohandessin) Section. The jobholder guides quantity surveying services to internal counterparts in the organization, including the development of construction cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, specifications, conditions of construction contracts and instructions to tenderers. He supports clients and design Sectors during the tender process, including the evaluation of contractors’ submissions, the preparation of tender analyses reports and the support of clients during the negotiations with contractors, as needed. The jobholder is also responsible to attract, develop and standardize quantity surveying capabilities within the Egypt - Mohandessin design center and to ensure coordination and knowledge sharing with other Quantity Surveying Sections within the K&A network. He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in quantity surveying and represent the firm as a specialist in the professional engineering communities and international forums.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in civil Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm, specifically in a quantity surveying role
- Strong experience and track record in managing all aspects of quantity surveying
- Strong exposure to a broad portfolio of engineering projects, such as high-rise buildings, mixed use developments, residential, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, education, Infrastructure (Roads, Landscape, Roads, Bridges, E/M and water/wastewater/storm water networks). etc. projects
- MS office, Revit and civil 3D
- Significant experience within the Middle East
