As a Strategic Planning Director, you will be responsible for establishing strategic and study department to conduct engineering, feasibility studies as well as preparing the 5-year strategic plan including budget and project prioritisation for the Project management office. You will report to the Program Director.

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience and achievement in developing and overseeing strategy for internal and external stakeholder engagement within a complex organizational environment.
  • Develop road maps, program plans, business cases, and realisation strategies to support our recommendations.
  • Prepare feasibility and assessment studies.
  • Prepare the 5-year strategic plan including budget and projects prioritisation.
  • Manage the technical, business and personnel aspects of consulting engagements.
  • Set the Department performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and development towards strategic objectives.
  • Set Department’s policies and procedures in order to ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled to deliver high-quality services.
  • Provide directions for the development of yearly perception monitoring plan that includes identified topics and data sources to be monitored.
  • Conduct market research to support the team in understanding the parameters that affect their investment strategy.
  • Interact independently with client leadership.
  • Help clients clearly articulate their needs; proactively seek out opportunities to be involved in winning new clients.
  • Provide feedback on proposed approaches for solving client issues and draft client proposal materials.
  • Conduct independent data gathering activities with clients.
  • Design qualitative and quantitative research tools.
  • Analyze market and client data sets to create insight.
  • Provide feedback on proposed approaches for solving client issues.
  • Draft client deliverable, presentation and proposal materials.
  • Help troubleshoot project issues/challenges and resolve conflicts.
  • Lead project streams.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience :-

  • 20+ years of experience with a top tier regional/multinational engineering firm.
  • 20+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering firm.
  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering, Architecture.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership role management consulting companies, utilities or corporate clients in a strategy and management support and/or advisory role. Exposure and experience to Infrastructure type projects is preferred.
  • Excellent speaking, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Professional level writing and editing skills.
  • Experience in technical communications.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem analysis skills, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with all employee levels.
  • Must remain flexible, and be able to be involved in and prioritize multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new things: ability to maintain a high level of energy and work independently.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
