Job Summary:

The job holder supervises the project’s activities. Plans and directs management assignments with good technical ability for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating these assignments. Receives operations supervision from the Project Manager. Exercises operations supervision over the engineers of all disciplines assigned to the project.

Responsibilities:

  • - Directs, coordinates and actively participates in project activities.
  • - Establishes or assist in establishing the detailed project scope of work and the project engineering budget.
  • - Develops design and procurement plans for approval.
  • - Coordinates engineering efforts with PM.
  • - Directs engineering efforts in preparation of project proposals including estimates for engineering staffing.
  • - Prepares reviews and approves design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications.
  • - Resolves field initiated questions on engineering
  • - Visits sites as required for exchange of information.
  • - Reviews project engineering progress against approved schedules.

Requirements:

Recognized degree in engineering from an accredited university or a professional license in an appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board and progressive work experience including supervision, Track Maintenance, Railway System Operations, Rolling Stock Management, and Facility Management.

A sound technical knowledge of Railway Operations, construction of railway facilities. Track and infrastructure development, SAR record procedures, QAQC and project management.

A thorough knowledge of related Railway Engineering System, engineering calculations, applications and construction methods and materials.

Demonstrated skills in supervision

Minimum of 10 years of experience in assigned or related field – 8 years for Senior Saudi Professionals

A knowledge of related construction practices

Skills in oral and written communications.
