Khatib & Alami, a leading multinational & multidisciplinary architectural & engineering consulting firm with over 6000 workforce. We are carrying out Maritime project in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia [ 100 km from Jubail City ] and we are looking to recruit an HSE Manager role; Previous experience in Marine Works, Infrastructure and housing/building projects is preferred; Saudi nationals with Aramco experience is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Must have knowledge or training in the following: occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on health, safety and environmental training.
  • Must have the ability to assist with developing, implementing and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must possess the ability to provide/demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills required to provide a consistent safety message among a diverse work group and lead and direct teams and/or committees.
  • Must be able to independently interpret. evaluate, select and apply safety standards and guidelines to specific situations.
  • Must be able to provide technical leadership where work results are considered as authoritative and are normally accepted without significant change.
  • Must be able to identify and ask for assistance when standards and guidelines are insufficient to resolve highly complex or unusual work problems.
  • Must be able to facilitate and diffuse difficult or controversial situations where there is disagreement over the interpretation and/or non-application of safety standards.


Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies Required to Execute this Role.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or related discipline.

Chartered or Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.

Skills: In depth knowledge in the supervision consultants, ensuring that quality control procedures.

Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.

Experience Required to Execute this Role:

Overall Experience: Expats minimum experience required 15 years, Saudi nationals 10+ years of industry experience in the monitor site performance of the contractor and supervision consultants.

Specific Experience: 5+ years of experience in the engineering in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm.

Experience in the Middle East projects will be an added advantage.

Desirable: Marine background.
