The SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for developing the overall understanding of SAP implementation scope with a comprehensive process knowledge within his/her field of expertise.
This position is mainly about the transformation of the current processes and system knowledge into SAP processes and system knowledge making sure of having a successful implementation and ongoing continuous process improvement.
The SME maximizes the importance of defining business requirements, implements enhanced business processes, ensures successful deployment of new ERP systems and improvements, manages the system and process testing and manages the training of system users for their assigned area.
The SAP SME will report to the CFO, Accounting Director, and IT Director. It is a critical skill for the success of this role to have the ability to quickly understand the direction of process improvement with interdependency across areas and systems.
The primary focus is to support the Finance implementation, and management of SAP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives, future functionality projects, and value realization projects. This role requires major collaboration and teamwork with Finance Director, Accounting Director, Program Manager, End User, Process Sponsor, and Global IT.
