Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Principal – Water Design to provide technical leadership and manage the delivery of major water and wet utilities projects across the UAE and wider Middle East.

The ideal candidate will have strong consultancy experience in water infrastructure design, team leadership, multidisciplinary coordination and client/authority engagement.

Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)

• Lead and manage water design teams delivering major infrastructure and master-planning projects.
• Provide technical leadership for the design of potable water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation and related water infrastructure networks.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, reports and technical submissions.
• Coordinate water infrastructure requirements with roads, dry utilities, MEP and other disciplines.
• Lead utility corridor, ROW and infrastructure coordination activities.
• Liaise with clients, developers and authorities to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals/NOCs.
• Manage project deliverables, resources, programme and technical quality.
• Mentor and develop engineers and design team members.
• Participate in feasibility studies, option assessments and value engineering.
• Identify and resolve design interfaces, utility conflicts and technical challenges.
• Support preparation of tender documents, specifications, technical reports and detailed design packages.
• Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, applicable standards and authority regulations.
• Support business development activities, technical proposals and client presentations where required.

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or a related discipline.
• 12–15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a leading engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience in water/wet utilities design and infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience leading technical teams and managing design deliverables.
• Middle East experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of client and authority requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
