Job Summary

Senior HVAC Design Engineer with strong expertise in the design of HVAC systems for large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, retail, and high-rise developments. The ideal candidate will have HVAC design experience, preferably on Gulf / UAE projects, and will be responsible for leading HVAC design activities from concept through detailed design while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of HVAC systems from concept, schematic, and detailed design stages through to construction documentation.
• Perform HVAC load calculations, system selection, sizing, and equipment selection using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure compliance with international engineering standards, codes of practice, and UAE authorities’ guidelines (e.g., DM, DCD, Estidama, ASHRAE, CIBSE).
• Coordinate and manage the efforts of the assigned HVAC design team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of design deliverables.
• Review and approve HVAC drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, HAP, and BIM360 for design development and clash coordination.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and coordination workshops.
• Ensure project discipline scope is delivered within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical support during authority submissions, tender stage, and construction phase as required.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers within the HVAC team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required to Execute this Role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech)
• Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in HVAC design
• Experience on Gulf / UAE-based projects is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of HVAC engineering principles, standards, and authority guidelines
