Job Summary
The ICT BIM / CAD & Digital Delivery Engineer is responsible for the development, coordination, and digital delivery of ICT and low‑current systems models and drawings across all project stages. The role ensures that ICT infrastructure designs are accurately represented, coordinated, clash‑free, and compliant with project BIM standards, digital twins, and information management requirements. the scope includes building, modifying, and enhance new families related to ICT / ELV elements.
The position plays a critical role in enabling BIM‑led delivery, multidisciplinary coordination, model‑based reviews, and asset information handover for data centers, smart buildings, infrastructure, and large‑scale developments.
Key Responsibilities
1. BIM & CAD Production for ICT Systems
- Develop and manage BIM models and CAD drawings for ICT and ELV systems, including but not limited to:
- Data networks (LAN, WAN, fiber optic systems)
- Data centers ICT layouts
- Structured cabling systems
- Telecom rooms, racks, cabinets, and pathways
- ICT integration with smart systems
- Produce detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, schematics, and layouts in line with project LOD/LOI requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all ICT deliverables.
2. Digital Delivery & BIM Coordination
- Coordinate ICT BIM models with:
- Architecture
- Structural
- MEP
- Security and ELV disciplines
- Participate actively in:
- BIM coordination meetings
- Clash detection and resolution workshops
- Create and summarize Navisworks reports.
- Resolve ICT‑related clashes with other disciplines in a timely and documented manner.
- Support federated model development and digital coordination platforms (e.g., CDE environments).
3. BIM Standards, Information Management & Compliance
- Implement and comply with:
- Project Information Requirements (PIR)
- Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR)
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
- Ensure ICT models and drawings comply with:
- Project BIM standards
- Naming conventions, object parameters, and metadata
- IFC, COBie, and asset data requirements (where applicable)
- Support digital handover, asset tagging, and model‑based asset information delivery.
4. Data Center & Infrastructure Modeling
- Support BIM modeling for:
- Data center white space layouts
- ICT equipment footprints and clearance zones
- Fiber routing and containment systems
- Coordinate ICT requirements with power, cooling, and spatial constraints.
- Maintain alignment with data center performance, resilience, and operational requirements.
5. Technical Support to Design & Delivery Teams
- Support ICT design engineers and discipline leads by:
- Translating design intent into accurate BIM/CAD outputs
- Assisting in design development, revisions, and change management
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and issue tracking.
- Prepare submission packages for:
- Design reviews
- IFC / Tender / Construction stages
6. Construction & As‑Built Support
- Support construction phase activities including:
- Shop drawing development and coordination
- Technical clarifications related to ICT drawings and models
- Update BIM models and drawings to reflect:
- Approved changes
- Site conditions and as‑built information
- Support preparation of:
- As‑built models
- Record drawings
- Digital asset information deliverables
7. Digital Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Support adoption of:
- BIM automation
- Parametric families
- Model validation tools
- Contribute to improvement of ICT BIM libraries, templates, and workflows.
- Stay updated on BIM and digital delivery best practices relevant to ICT systems.
Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in:
- Information Technology
- Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- BIM / Digital Engineering
- Or related technical discipline
- 5–10+ years overall experience in BIM / CAD roles
- Minimum 3–5 years dedicated experience in ICT / ELV BIM modeling
- Autodesk Revit (Professional Certification)
- BIM Level 2 or ISO 19650 awareness
- Autodesk AutoCAD Professional Certification
- Navisworks (clash detection) experience
- COBie / Digital Handover training (advantage)
- Proven project experience in:
- Data centers
- Smart buildings
- Large‑scale infrastructure or mixed‑use developments
- Experience working within multi‑disciplinary BIM environments
- Autodesk Revit (ICT / ELV Modeling)
- AutoCAD (2D drafting & detailing)
- Navisworks (clash detection & coordination)
- BIM 360 / ACC or equivalent CDE platforms
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, reporting)
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure systems
- BIM coordination and digital delivery workflows
- High attention to detail and model accuracy
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines
