Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment / Rigger HSE Specialist position is required to enhance HSE coverage in the high-risk areas of heavy equipment operations and lifting activities. Please note that the JCD packages are
predominantly heavy-equipment-driven construction projects, making this role particularly important to strengthen HSE oversight and support across the various packages. The specialist will report directly to
the HSE Executive and will be assigned to provide HSE support to all JCD packages as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting, rigging, crane and heavy equipment operations.
- Ability to inspect lifting equipment, heavy machinery and rigging accessories.
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting, rigging, crane and heavy equipment operations.
- Competent in reviewing lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
- Ability to assess the competency of operators, riggers, signalmen and lifting supervisors.
- Strong hazard identification, risk assessment and field inspection skills.
- Ability to challenge unsafe practices and recommend/implement stop-work actions when required. Good contractor management, communication and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Saudi HSE requirements and internationally recognized lifting standards.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Minimum 7 years of relevant HSE experience, with 10 years preferred, in major construction/infrastructure projects
- Good analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
