Job Summary

The Senior Architecture Engineer – Buildings & Finishes is responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural designs, technical drawings, specifications, and finishing works throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures compliance with approved designs, project requirements, applicable building codes, and quality standards. It involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing shop drawings and material submittals, conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance to project teams and contractors to ensure the quality, functionality, and aesthetic integrity of building and finishing works.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review architectural drawings, specifications, material schedules, and finishing details for building projects.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical conflicts and ensure design integration.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and method statements related to architectural and finishing works.
• Monitor the implementation of architectural works, including flooring, ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, wall finishes, façades, and other building elements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Identify design discrepancies, technical issues, and non-conformities, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, contractors, and junior engineers on architectural design and finishing-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, fire safety regulations, and relevant standards.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, progress assessments, and coordination workshops.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, snagging lists, inspection records, and project closeout documentation.
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and ensure that approved finishes meet the required performance and aesthetic standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve architectural and finishing issues throughout the project lifecycle

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in building design, architectural engineering, and finishing works .
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, finishing systems, and construction specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural design tools.
• Good knowledge of applicable building codes, quality assurance procedures, and construction practices.
• Strong coordination, technical problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
