Job Summary

The Lead Engineer- BIM leads the delivery of digital engineering models, including the production of complex 2D sheets and 3D perspectives, visuals, audios, and virtual tours leveraging Civil 3D, and other software and technologies to support operations in the Transportation Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of BIM project documentation, including the BIM Execution Plan and the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP)
• Oversee the integration and coordination of BIM models across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and model accuracy
• Provide expert technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and processes, including the creation and maintenance of Revit Families
• Mentor and guide project teams in the correct application of BIM software and adherence to BIM processes
• Ensure compliance with all BIM standards, including quality control, project delivery, and model management
• Continuously explore and implement innovative methods to enhance existing workflows and recommend improvements to elevate the company's BIM processes and standards
• Configure and manage the project’s Common Data Environment (CDE) to effectively oversee engineering design deliverables
• Generate and maintain standard Navisworks clash detection reports, ensuring alignment with project requirements
• Uphold and enforce adherence to the approved BIM Execution and BIM Scope Plans

Specific Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience, with at least 3 years focused on BIM for civil related projects
• Proficient in Civil 3D and BIM360 with practical experience in an engineering production environment
• Advanced knowledge of Navisworks for 3D coordination and clash detection
• Deep understanding of BIM processes, with the capability to implement these on new and complex projects
• Understanding of ISO 19650 and other relevant industry BIM standards and classifications
• Strong team leadership, communication, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
