Job Summary

The Proposal Engineer supports the development of technical and commercial supervision proposals for the Mohandseen office. He works closely with the Transportation Proposal team for the preparation of prequalification materials and internal documents to support the development of supervision proposals. The jobholder works closely with Senior Proposal Engineers throughout the entire proposal development life cycle, including developing proposal method statements, estimating project delivery costs, consolidating staff resumes and project references and coordinating the preparation of tender requirements, such as bid bonds, performance bonds, etc. The jobholder is also expected to support the design proposal teams with local market intelligence and facilitation of local requirements and documentations, as needed. 

Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)

▪ Assemble, prepare and submit prequalification materials for potential projects and clients in Mohandseen Egypt.

 ▪ Collect internal documentation to support the development of supervision proposals in Egypt

▪ Support Senior Proposal Engineers with the development of method statements, approach and scope for supervision proposals in Egypt

▪ Assist Senior Proposal Engineers in setting man-hour rates and calculation of direct project costs for supervision proposals

▪ Support the preparation and arrangement for local tender requirements, such as bid bonds, performance bonds, etc. for supervision tenders in Egypt.

▪ Coordinate with the Contract Section to review contract terms of supervision proposals

▪ Collect and consolidate project staff resumes, project references and qualifications for supervision proposals in Egypt

▪ Support with the review, packaging and submittal of supervision proposals in Egypt

▪ Support with the hand over successful supervision proposal documents to project teams for project launch

▪ Implement corporate policies and procedures 

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 1-3 Years experince
• Good organization and time management skills
• Good estimation and scheduling skills
• Good technical writing skills
•  Good communication skills
•  Good interpersonal skills
•  Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
