Job Summary
The Lead ICT – Data Center & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is a senior technical leadership role responsible for the planning, architecture, design, implementation oversight, and operational readiness of enterprise and mission‑critical data center and cloud infrastructure environments.
The role covers on‑premise data centers, hybrid and public cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, resilience, security, scalability, and compliance with international standards. The Lead Engineer serves as the technical authority for ICT infrastructure solutions and acts as a key interface between business stakeholders, engineering disciplines, vendors, and cloud service
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end ICT infrastructure architecture design covering data centers, hybrid cloud, and cloud‑native platforms.
- Define target‑state architectures, technology roadmaps, and capacity planning strategies.
- Act as the technical decision authority for ICT infrastructure solutions and design approaches.
- Ensure solutions align with business requirements, performance targets, and future growth.
- Lead the design and planning of:
- Enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale data centers (Tier III / Tier IV)
- IT white space, rack layouts, NOC and high‑density compute environments
- Structured cabling systems (fiber optic & copper)
- Coordinate closely with MEP, civil, architectural, security, and ELV teams to ensure integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including:
- TIA‑942, BICSI 002
- Uptime Institute Tier Requirements
- ISO/IEC 27001
- Architect and oversee:
- Private cloud and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, OpenStack)
- Hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Define best practices for:
- Cloud governance and landing zones
- Identity and access management (IAM)
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR)
- Cost optimization and resource efficiency (FinOps awareness)
- Lead cloud migrations, workload modernization, and integration with on‑prem environments.
- Oversee ICT infrastructure related to:
- Data center LAN, core, and fabric architectures
- WAN, SD‑WAN, and inter‑data‑center connectivity
- Load balancing, firewall, and secure cloud connectivity
- Ensure secure‑by‑design implementation aligned with enterprise cybersecurity frameworks.
- Support resilience, high availability, and fault‑tolerant designs across all platforms.
- Control ICT infrastructure design and implementation activities, including:
- Design reviews and approvals
- Vendor and system integrator coordination
- FAT, SAT, UAT, and commissioning
- Oversee smooth transition from delivery to operations, ensuring:
- Complete documentation and as‑built records
- Operational readiness and knowledge transfer
- Support data center consolidation and cloud migration programs.
- Develop and enforce ICT infrastructure standards, policies, and design guidelines.
- Review and approve:
- Technical design submissions
- Material submittals
- Method statements and test plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and client‑specific requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and guide ICT infrastructure and cloud engineering teams.
- Act as the main technical interface with:
- Clients and internal stakeholders
- Architects, MEP consultants, and discipline leads
- OEMs, vendors, and cloud service providers
- Support procurement and tendering activities, including technical evaluations and clarifications.
Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, telecommunication engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree is an advantage

- 12–18+ years of experience in ICT infrastructure engineering
- 7–10+ years in senior or lead roles
- Proven experience delivering:
- Large‑scale or mission‑critical data centers
- Hybrid and cloud infrastructure solutions
- Complex, multi‑stakeholder ICT projects
Experience in mega projects, hyperscale facilities, smart cities, or critical infrastructure is highly desirable
